Farmers’ organizations have refused to accept the Supreme Court’s directive regarding farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is about to go on hunger strike. Farmers’ organizations have made it clear that Dhalewal will not be admitted to the Punjab government’s makeshift hospital. they say Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s fast will continue at the farmers’ movement platform at Kanauli border.

Farmer leaders held a press conference at the Kanauli border on Friday in compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive regarding the dying farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal.

Farmer leader Lakhwinder Aulakh said Jagjit Singh would not shift Dhalewal to a makeshift hospital. He said the report given by the Punjab government doctors to the Supreme Court was completely wrong.

Dalwal refuses to break fast

Farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar said if government doctors and officials say Jagjit Singh Dhalewal’s condition is good, then can they guarantee that nothing will happen to him? He said Jagjit Singh Dhalewal would not leave the arena of farmers’ movement and fast at any cost and he was already on the path of sacrifice.

He said we are guarding Dalwal 24 hours a day. Dhalewal also hoped that fasting should continue under all circumstances.
