Maharashtra will hold assembly elections next month. Ajit Pawar candidate Sana Malik will contest from Anushaktinagar seat. Earlier, he filed his nomination papers on Monday. His father, Nawab Malik, the outgoing MP from the area, and sister were also with him during this period.
Fahad Ahmed from Sharad Pawar’s party opposed Sana Malik from Anushaktinagar seat. Fahd had earlier been involved with the Samajwadi Party. Fahad Ahmed, an alumnus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, has been very vocal on issues like CAA-NRC and NPR. He married actress Swara Bhaskar on February 16, 2023.
Sana said regarding Fahd, I am proud to be Nawab Malik’s daughter. If Nawab Malik’s daughter can become Anushakti Nagar’s daughter, that would be better than becoming the husband of an actress. Sana said she has experience working in this area and the support she has received at rallies is proof of that.
On the Sharad Pawar group making Fahd its candidate for the seat, Sana said it was politics. There are no enemies. They are just rivals. Now they are competitors. They selected a candidate who landed here by parachute. I have nothing to say about them.
Sana said, I will not talk about Fahd, but I will say that people here not only know that I am Nawab Malik’s daughter, but I go to his house, have tea with him and listen to his problems. Let us tell you that when Nawab Malik was serving in Maha Vikas Aghadi government, he was accused of money laundering. At the time, Malik had accused the BJP of using central agencies such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CBI) and the Department of Economic Development (ED) to put pressure on political opponents. Nawab Malik recently joined the Mahayutthi alliance led by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Fahd recently joined Sharad Pawar’s (NCP) party.
Swara Bhaskar’s husband Fahad Ahmed recently joined the NCP (SP). After being posted from Anushakti Nagar, Ahmed had said that this is a democratic country and nepotism will not work here. Nawab Malik has not worked in this constituency. His daughter Sana Malik should contest elections in her name. Let us tell you that Fahad Ahmed was an early member of the Samajwadi Party.
