Two special missions of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) are under discussion. ISRO’s first mission is to explore the possibilities of space agriculture. The second task relates to clean spaces. ISRO’s Orbital Experiment Module, the POEM-4 mission will explore new possibilities in space. The “POEM-4” mission will be launched on December 30 on a PSLV rocket. The first mission will study growing seeds in space. 8 cowpea seeds can be planted in one box. The temperature of the box will be fully controlled. Let us understand what is special about ISRO’s mission.
ISRO will conduct 24 different types of experiments in space during this mission. Among them, 14 experiments are related to various laboratories of ISRO and 10 experiments are related to private universities and start-ups. Under this, growing seeds in space will also be studied. According to ISRO, eight cowpea seeds will be planted in a box called CROPS. The temperature of this box will be fully controlled. The experiment will explore the future possibilities of space agriculture.
The growth of spinach plants on land and in space will be compared.
ISRO said that besides exploring the possibilities of space agriculture, it will also compare the growth of spinach plants on land and in space. This will show how plants grow in low gravity. ISRO will also conduct a dedicated experiment to clean up space debris.
Special robot will test cleaning waste
ISRO’s POEM-4 mission will also test a special robotic arm to clean up space debris. It is produced by Vikram Sarabhai Centre. This experiment by ISRO will help solve the problem of increasing space debris. This means that after Swachh Bharat Abhiyan… Clean Space Abhiyan will also be launched. The PSLV-C60 mission, scheduled to launch later this year, will deploy trackers and targets to demonstrate docking technology for building the country’s space station.
