Israel’s Hamas war: More than 44,000 killed so far in Gaza, find out how many were injured

Deir al-Bala: The death toll in the Gaza Strip during the 13-month-long war between Israel and Hamas has exceeded 44,000. Local Palestinian health officials provided the information on Thursday. Gaza’s health ministry did not distinguish between civilians and combatants in its calculations, but said more than half of the dead were women and children. The Israeli military says, without providing any evidence, that it has killed more than 17,000 terrorists.

Thousands of people were buried under the rubble

The health ministry said 44,056 people have died and 104,268 have been injured since the war began. Others say the actual death toll is higher because thousands of bodies are still buried under rubble or in places doctors can’t reach. The situation in Gaza leaves people without even access to food and water. Hundreds of thousands have also been displaced.
