Israel’s actions shocked the world and now the Syrian navy has been destroyed after airstrikes.

Damascus: Israel has launched heavy air strikes in Syria and its troops have penetrated deep into the country, a Syrian war observer said. The Israeli Defense Minister announced that their forces had destroyed the Syrian Navy. Israel, meanwhile, has acknowledged entering a “buffer zone” inside Syria, but it is unclear whether its troops have crossed into the area, which was established more than 50 years ago.

Israel denies this

Israel currently denies that it is advancing on the Syrian capital Damascus. Israel’s defense minister says Israel wants to establish a demilitarized zone in southern Syria. Katz said at the Haifa naval base that the military “will establish a defensive zone in southern Syria that is free of weapons and terrorist threats and that Israel will not have a permanent presence to prevent terrorism from taking root in Syria.”

Israel also said it was attacking suspected chemical weapons sites and heavy weapons to prevent them from falling into the hands of terrorists. Meanwhile, the British-run Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Israel has carried out more than 300 air strikes in Syria since Assad was overthrown. The Observatory and Mayadeen TV, which is based in Beirut and has correspondents in Syria, said Israeli forces were advancing on the Syrian side of the border with Lebanon. Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani said their soldiers stayed in the buffer zone to protect their country. (Associated Press)
