The Palestinian official told AFP that Israeli forces shot a teenager having an American citizenship at the West Bank occupied on Sunday, while the Israeli army said he had killed a “terrorist” that had thrown rocks on cars.
Omar Muhammad Shadhi Rabi, a 14 -year -old “who was killed in Terms Ayya organized American citizenship,” the city’s mayor, Loffee Shalabi told AFP.
The Israeli army stated that during the “anti-terrorism activity” in Terms Ayya, “soldiers identified three militants who blown the rocks towards the highway, thus threatening the citizens to driving”.
A military statement said, “The soldiers set fire to the terrorists, who were endangered by the citizens, eliminating a terrorist and killing two additional terrorists.”
The Palestinian Health Ministry said one person was in critical condition and the other suffered minor injuries in the same incident.
Shalbi said one of the injured also had American citizenship. Terms Ayya, the north side of Ramallah’s main West Bank city, is known for many double American-Pilstinian citizens.
Palestine Red Crescent said that his teams had taken the boy’s body to a hospital. It was also reported that the injuries of two boys were shot in the lower abdomen and thigh respectively, during “clashes” in Termus Ayya.
One of two, 14 -year -old Abdul Rahman Shahadeh told AFP that he was shot by a soldier while collecting fruits near the city.
Second, who was shot in the stomach, was identified as 14 -year -old Ayub Asad by his father Ahid Asad. He confirmed that the boy had an American passport.
Ahad Asad said that an ambulance who had taken his injured son to the hospital was stopped by the soldiers.
“We were stopped at a military post at the entrance of the village, and a soldier told me that he was the one who shot three boys,” he told AFP.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority condemned the “Use of Live Fire against Three children” of Israeli forces.
“Israel’s constant impurities as an illegal occupied power encourages it to commit more crimes”, it said.
Violence in West Bank has increased since the Gaza War started on October 7, 2023.
According to Palestinian Health Ministry data, Israeli soldiers or settlers have killed at least 918 Palestinians including militants at West Bank.
According to official data, Palestinian attacks and clashes during military raids killed at least 33 Israelis, in the same period, including soldiers, according to official data.
Since 1967, Israel has captured the house of West Bank, about three million Palestinians.
