Israel-Hezbollah War: Israel has been on the battlefield for nearly a year and now appears to be preparing for a completely flawed war. A week after a bombing of a pager and walkie-talkie sparked panic in Lebanon, Israeli fighter jets launched missile bombings across the country that weakened Hezbollah’s position. Now, Israel has launched another major attack on Lebanon.
Israel targeted and destroyed 1,600 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Bombs were dropped on Lebanon all night long. So far, the attacks have killed 492 people. Israel has warned of swift attacks against Hezbollah. In this case, Lebanese citizens are asked to evacuate areas where Hezbollah is suspected of hiding weapons. The Israel Defense Forces claimed that heavy rockets, each weighing a thousand kilograms, were found in homes in Lebanon.
Hezbollah also fired 200 rockets into Israel
However, in response to Israel’s actions, Hezbollah also took the lead in firing 200 rockets into northern Israel. Rocket sirens sounded in Haifa, Afula, Nazareth and other cities in northern Israel as Hezbollah launched late-night attacks. Hezbollah fired rockets throughout the night. Hezbollah said it has targeted many Israeli military bases and airports. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said most of the rockets were intercepted by our Iron Dome defense system and there were no reports of casualties or damage.
In fact, on October 7 last year, Palestinian Hamas militants suddenly entered Israel and launched an attack. Hundreds of people were killed in the attack. About 250 Israeli citizens are being held hostage by Hamas militants in Gaza. After that, Israel attacked Gaza and declared an end to the war after killing only the last Hamas militant.
Many countries called on both sides to exercise restraint. At the same time, Lebanese militants (Hezbollah) also came to the scene to support Hamas and attacked Israel with rockets. Now Israel is also ready to deal with Hezbollah. In the past few days, a series of attacks have occurred in Lebanon.
Israel strikes kill 492 in Lebanon
Monday marked the first time Lebanon has seen its deadliest conflict since 2006. Israeli attacks killed 492 people. These included 35 children and 58 women. 1,645 people were injured. Lebanese officials said it was the worst attack since the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah. Israeli forces warned residents in southern and eastern Lebanon to evacuate their homes ahead of airstrikes against Hezbollah. Thousands of people fled southern Lebanon to Beirut after the alert was issued. Many villages and towns are vacant. After 2006, the largest migration occurred here. The main highway leading from the southern port city of Sidon to Beirut was packed with traffic.
Israel warns to evacuate homes
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had delivered a speech. He urged Lebanese citizens to take the warning seriously. “Please stay out of harm’s way now,” Netanyahu said. “Once our surgery is over, you can safely return home.”
Israeli military spokesman Maj. Gen. Daniel Hagari said the army would take all necessary measures to drive Hezbollah from the Lebanese border. Hagari claimed that Monday’s massive air strikes had caused heavy losses to Hezbollah. He did not give any timetable for the end of the operation and said Israel was prepared to launch a ground attack in Lebanon if necessary.
Deadly weapons found hidden in Lebanese house
Hagari said that 1,600 targets in Lebanon have been completely destroyed. Most of the attacks were carried out in houses where Hezbollah had weapons hidden. These include cruise missiles with a target range of hundreds of kilometers, heavy rockets with warheads up to 1,000 kilograms, rockets with a range of up to 200 kilometers, short-range rockets and armed drones.
