Israel launches air strikes on residential areas in Beirut, killing 11 and injuring 48

Israel carried out multiple airstrikes in downtown Beirut on Thursday night. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the attack targeted the area around Nuwari Ras Nabeh. The attack killed 11 people and injured 48 others.

The Israel Defense Forces fired multiple rockets within minutes. After the attack, locals filmed a video in which thick smoke could be seen billowing from the building and ambulance sirens echoing across the city. The attack targeted densely populated residential areas. There are reports that a large number of people were injured in the attack.

2,169 people have died so far in Lebanon
The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that Israel’s recent air strikes on Lebanon have killed 28 people and injured 113 others. Since the outbreak of the war, 2,169 people have been killed and 10,212 injured in Lebanon. According to reports, Wafiq Safa, the head of Hezbollah’s liaison and coordination department, was the target of the attack. The Israel Defense Forces are conducting ground attacks against the Hezbollah terror group in southern Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces seized numerous weapons during the raid
In this attack, the IDF destroyed the Hezbollah terrorist organization. There was also news of the destruction of weapons. Soldiers have recovered about 800 military jackets and hundreds of weapons. Weapons such as grenades, explosives, and AK-47s were found during the attack. Troops found weapons boxes containing ammunition and Kornet missile launchers inside civilian homes. In addition, there are dozens of ready-made missiles ready to target Israeli communities in the Galilee. On Thursday morning, the Israel Defense Forces opened fire on United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon.
