ISIS terrorist Saqib Nachan appeals to Supreme Court seeking cancellation of government notification

Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court will hear the petition of ISIS terrorist Saqib Nachan in two weeks. In the petition, the terrorists’ lawyers asked the government to cancel both notifications. The government moved to declare groups such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as terrorist organizations.

In December last year, the investigative agency NIA exposed the modules of ISIS activities in the country. The investigating agency named Saqib Nachan as the main accused in the case. The charges allege that Nashan had operated an “Islamic State” module in the country and recruited teenagers into the terrorist organization. Apart from Saqib Nachan, many others have been accused in this case, including Haseeb Zuber Mulla, Kashif Abdul Sattar Balere, Saif Atiq Nachan, Rehan Ashfaq Sus, Shagaf Safiq Divkar, Firoz Dastgir Kuari and others.

Islamic State’s Maharashtra module

Investigating agencies said these individuals were associated with the Maharashtra module of ISIS I. These people are actively working in the Padha-Borivali district of the state. From here, the men planned to launch an attack on the country. All the arrested terrorists were influenced by Mujahideen, Khalifa and ISI organizations and planned to spread violence in the country and wage war against the Indian government.

The village was declared an independent district

ANI reported that the arrested accused had declared Padha village of Thane and Al-Sham as separate areas, which means that only Sharia law applies here. They are influencing Muslim youth to come and live here so that their influence can stay here.

ANI is investigating

Initially, a special cell of Delhi Police was investigating the case. However, after capturing the three terrorists, the central government handed over the case to the National Intelligence Agency. The NIA started investigating the case in November 2023 and registered a case against the accused under UAPA.

The Supreme Court will hear the petition of ISIS terrorist Saqib Nachan in two weeks. Nashan asked the government to de-notify the terror group.
