In fact, the mystery of the murder of senior lawyer Mohini Tomar of Kashganj district remains unsolved. After Mohini Tomar went missing outside the district court on September 3, 2024, her body found in the canal on September 4 was identified by her husband Vijtendra Tomar. Subsequently, the police conducted an autopsy on the body. But the autopsy report itself has raised questions.
Because, in the post-mortem report of Mohini Tomar, it was stated that the body was two to three days old. However, just 24 hours after Mohini went missing, her body was found floating in the Gorha canal in Kasganj.
In such a situation, after the autopsy report came out, people also raised questions whether the body of Mohini Tomar found in the canal was Mohini’s or someone else’s. In order to find out the truth, Mohini Tomar’s husband Vijtendra Tomar asked the government to conduct a DNA test on Mohini’s internal organs. Therefore, the government decided to collect the DNA sample of Mohini Tomar’s mother.
As per the instructions of the district administration, today (September 19), the mother of the deceased Mohini Tomar, Dinesh Kumari, a resident of Udwatpur, Kannauj, came to the Kasganj District Hospital with her son Mangal Singh to provide a DNA sample. The doctor has collected the DNA sample of Dinesh Kumari and sent it to the laboratory for testing.
Let us tell you that in the Mohini Tomar murder case, the police have so far sent eight people to jail, including five lawyers, an LLB student and a woman. However, two accused are still absconding.
