Nowadays, online shopping has become very common. If we want to buy anything, we no longer need to go anywhere to buy it. I just pick up my phone and order online and if I don’t like the product I cancel the order. If you are also ordering things online, then this will not be easy for you. The cost of canceling your order will be high. E-commerce site Flipkart is gearing up to charge you cancellation fees for this.
Cancellation fees will be charged!
The country’s largest e-commerce company is reportedly about to impose cancellation fees on some orders. Flipkart will change its policy for this. However, if the order is canceled within a specific time, cancellation fees will be charged. Currently, customers can cancel their order after purchasing any product. They don’t have to pay any extra fees for this. However, they will have to pay a cancellation fee after a few days. This fee will depend on the order value of the product.
A screenshot of Flipkart’s internal communication has surfaced, mentioning the change in policy. The company allegedly decided to impose this cancellation fee to compensate sellers and logistics partners for the time and cost of selling goods on its platform. However, this cancellation fee will be charged after the free cancellation window for any product has ended.
decision made for this
Flipkart has not officially given any information about cancellation charges. However, if the source is to be believed, there will be a time limit on the cancellation fee. The company plans to launch a new policy to protect sellers from fraud and losses. Apart from Flipkart, this fee may also be charged when ordering products online from sister company Myntra.
