In this IPL super auction, South African players have the highest number of foreign players shortlisted with 31, and one of them is dangerous fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. Gujarat Titans have included one of their big name players, Kagiso Rabada, in the ongoing mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Rabada was part of Kings XI Punjab last season but the franchise decided to include him in the reserved players list ahead of the mega auction.
Rabada’s last IPL season was nothing special
Last season’s IPL was not special for Kagiso Rabada, he played 11 games and took only 11 wickets at an average of 33.82, of which his economy rate was 8.86. Rabada made his IPL debut in 2017, playing his first game for Delhi Capitals. Since then, Rabada has been a part of the Delhi squad till the start of the 2021 IPL season. In 2022, Rabada was included in the team of Kings XI Punjab for a fee of Rs 9 Crore 25 Lakhs and he represented the team in IPL till 2024.
Rabada’s performance in T20 internationals so far
If we talk about the performance of Kagiso Rabada, an important part of South Africa’s team bowling, in the T20 Internationals so far, he has taken 71 wickets in 65 games at an average of 27.15 , of which his economy rate is already 8.30. If we look at Rabada’s performance in 2024, he took 13 wickets in 9 games.
