IPL 2025: The excitement around the IPL, or Indian Premier League, has slowly started building. All teams have retained their players and are now busy preparing which players they will target when the auction comes. However, the players currently released by some teams have shown amazing performances. So while their auction prices continue to rise, teams may regret moving on from these players. Rajasthan Royals and Jos Buttler are one such player and team.
Jos Buttler scored two centuries in IPL 2024 against Rajasthan Royals. He deserves credit for his performance in the remainder of the game. Following this, it was believed that Jos Buttler would remain with his Rajasthan Royals team for next year’s IPL, but that did not happen. When the reserved list came out, it was revealed that Jos Buttler’s name was not among them. This means they are released. Jos Buttler, meanwhile, has been out of the cricket field for nearly four months due to injury. Under such circumstances, it is difficult to know whether when Jos comes back, everyone will still see him as he was before.
Failed in the first game and made a strong half-century in the second game
Jos Buttler has played two games so far since his return. In this game, he got out for zero in the first inning, but calmed everyone down with a brilliant and stormy bat in the second game. Jos came third in batting, scoring an impressive 83 runs off 45 balls. During this period, he hit 8 fours and 6 sixes with the bat. That said, he said he will continue to hit the ball the same way even after his return.
Jos cannot return even from RTM
It is also a matter of nerves for Rajasthan Royals that they will not be able to bring back Jos Buttler in the next auction even with the playing rights card as the team has retained all six players. Under such circumstances, the possibility of Jos playing for Rajasthan is very slim. Jos Buttler can bat at number three in the opening overs and has the ability to change his kit as needed. In this case, Rajasthan might regret that they accidentally released Jos Buttler from the team.
