What is the silence strategy of the BJP?
In the Jharkhand elections, the BJP formed a strong front against the Hemant Soren government through love and land jihad. The BJP has also given the slogan “Roti and Beti” for this purpose. Big leaders also spoke around this, but apart from that, the real tension in Hemant’s party was the BJP’s silence strategy.
It is said that the BJP has prepared a smart seat strategy this time and has completed the deployment of big leaders. Instead of traveling across Jharkhand, the party’s big leaders are focusing on one or two seats so that they can easily touch that magic number.
The BJP took this strategy very seriously and even entrusted the task to a former chief minister. That is why the three former chief ministers of the BJP are only committed to retaining their respective seats.
JMM sources said the strong entry of senior BJP leaders has heightened tensions among the party in those seats where its alliance candidates are opposed. The JMM faces greater pressure from Congress and RJD candidates than itself.
He has been entrusted with an important task here
Arjun Munda- Arjun Munda, three-time chief minister of Jharkhand, is restricted to the Potka seat only. Munda’s wife Meera Munda is contesting elections here. Potka is a tribal-dominated area where the JMM won in 2019.
Munda lost the 2024 elections to Khunti. This time, however, their blockade lasted only as far as Potka. Interestingly, Arjun Munda’s name is also included in the list of star campaigners of the BJP.
Babu Lal Marandi- Jharkhand BJP president Babu Lal Marandi did not leave his district until the election campaign there was over. This time, the BJP has kept Marandi on duty only in Raj Dhanwar. Marandi is running in this seat.
ML and JMM launched a strong siege on Marandi here. It is claimed that the BJP does not want its largest local leader to lose the entire election.
Champai Sauron- When former CM Champai Soren was in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, he campaigned in different districts but the BJP gave him the primary responsibility of only two seats. Ahead of the first phase of voting, Champai has been restricted to Selekela and Gazira.
Champai himself is contesting from Selekela, while his son Babu Lal is contesting from Gazira. The BJP lost in both seats last time.
Amar Kumar Bauri- Leader of the Opposition Chandan Kumar Bowery is the star campaigner of the BJP, but the party has only given him the responsibility of retaining his seat. Bauri will not move out of his Chandankiyari area. This time the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has fielded a strong candidate in Chandankiyari.
Bowri is preparing a strategy to defeat the Indian alliance in his region once again.
Sudarshan Bhagat- This time, the BJP has deployed only former Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat in Gumla. Bhagat is also the party’s candidate. JMM’s Bhushan Tirkey is currently the MLA from Gumla.
The BJP’s strategy is to recapture this seat. The BJP won here in 2009 and 2014.
MPs and ministers are adopting the same strategy
Nishikant Dubey is the Lok Sabha MP from Godda. The party has also included him in the list of star campaigners, but Nisikant is focusing mainly on Santal Pargana. Nisikant is formulating a strategy for the BJP only in Sarat, Madhupur and Jamtala.
Likewise, central government minister Annapurna Devi has been stuck in Kodma till the first phase of polling. Another Union Minister Sanjay Seth is also holding the line in Ranchi.
38 seats in Jharkhand are yet to be elected
Elections to 43 assembly seats in Jharkhand have been completed. There are now 38 seats left to vote. The election was held in two phases for a total of 81 seats in the state. The Jharkhand government requires 42 MLAs to be formed.
The major contest in the state this time is between the Hemant Soren alliance and the BJP alliance.
