Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan
At an election meeting in Jharkhand on Friday, Union Minister and BJP election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed serious concern over the infiltration taking place in the state. He accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of infiltration into the state with its support.
“India is not Dharamshala where anyone can come and settle here,” the BJP leader said. Describing foreign infiltrators as a serious threat to the country, he said the country is ours and our resources are ours , we won’t let anyone take them away from us.
Infiltration under JMM protection
Chauhan claimed that infiltrators were looting tribal daughters and marrying them in the state. He accused the JMM-led alliance of providing protection to infiltrators. The BJP chief alleged that the union government in the state included infiltrators in the electoral rolls, made their Aadhaar cards and ration cards. Due to this reason, the tribal population in Santal Pargana has reduced to 28% from the previous 44%, the BJP leader said.
NRC will be implemented in the state
The Union Minister said that if the BJP comes to power in the state, the National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be implemented and infiltrators will be driven out. Chauhan said that if he comes to power in the state, he will not spare cattle smugglers under any circumstances and strict action will be taken against them.
Voting for the state assembly elections will be held in two phases. The first phase of voting will be held on November 13 and the second phase of voting will be held on November 20. The state’s election results will be announced on November 20. The state’s elections are largely fought between two alliances, including the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Development Alliance and the Congress-led Alliance of India.
