Both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress are facing insurgent issues in the Haryana assembly elections. 19 BJP rebels and 29 Congress rebels are contesting in 15 and 20 constituencies respectively.

Interestingly, the Congress managed to convince 12 dissenters in seven constituencies. BJP rebels in six constituencies also withdrew their nominations at the request of senior party leaders.
