Kangana will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi in the film. Kangana Ranaut is going to show the story of the dark times of Emergency in India in 1975.

Kangana became emotional
Kangana looked quite emotional while talking at the trailer launch. The actress said- Today is going to be a very emotional day for me. I have faced a lot of difficulties in making this film. There were many things during the shooting too, which caused trouble. Everyone knows that the industry has completely boycotted me. No one stood with me. But the star cast that you see in the film never left me.

Kangana said- You all know how much I like to debate on politics and politics. ‘Emergency’ is going to be a very informative film for everyone. The audience would love to see it. This film is going to be very entertaining.

The film is a bit personal for Anupam Kher
Apart from Kangana, actor Anupam Kher was also seen at the trailer launch. He is going to be seen playing the role of Jaiprakash Narayan in the film. Anupam said at the trailer launch – Everyone can take inspiration from Kangana Ranaut. Kangana is a true inspiration. I was in my first year of drama school when the emergency was declared. So this film is also a bit personal for me.

If we talk about the current star cast of the film, it includes Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary and others along with Kangana Ranaut. Late actor Satish Kaushik will also be seen in an important role. ‘Emergency’ will be released in theaters on 6 September 2024. Kangana has high expectations from this film. In an interview, Kangana had told that she had mortgaged her property to make the film. If the film does well then she will own that property again.
