‘India’s worst export…’, Pakistani journalist curses own government for inviting Zakir Naik

The controversial Islamic preacher, who fled India and settled in Malaysia, is currently touring Pakistan. Zakir Naik is producing his show in many cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi where many of his controversial videos have gone viral. Many Pakistanis also attacked Naik for his controversial remarks. Now, Pakistani journalist Mubasher Luqman has criticized the Shahbaz Sharif government for inviting Zakir Naik as a guest of Pakistan. Lukman calls Nike India’s “worst export”.

Zakir Naik has been declared wanted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He was accused of making inflammatory speeches, money laundering and promoting terrorism. In 2016, Naik’s name appeared in a bomb blast in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. One of the attackers admitted that he was influenced by Zakir Naik’s video. Thereafter, Naik and his family fled from India to Malaysia, where they obtained citizenship.

At the invitation of the Pakistani government, Naik and his son Fariq Naik arrived in Pakistan and will stay in Pakistan until October 28. When he arrived in Pakistan, many ministers welcomed him. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar also met with him.

“Why did Pakistan invite Naik as a guest?”

Pakistani journalist Mubasher Luqman appeared very angry at his government’s decision. “To be honest, I don’t know why Naik was invited as a state guest,” he told our syndicated website India Today. “I have serious complaints about this.” I think he is India’s worst export.

Mubasher Luqman said he is a Muslim and he loves his religion.

Lukman further said: “I am impressed by Muslim scholars who spread words of love and kindness. But every time I listen to Zakir Naik, he spreads hate. It seems like someone abused him as a child and now it’s out. But there is still a section of people in Pakistan who like him like crazy but there is also a section of people who hate him and I don’t think Naik should be allowed to preach in public.

What did Naik say to India before going to Pakistan?

Before going to Pakistan, Zakir Naik gave an interview in which he talked about India. Zakir Naik, while talking to Pakistani YouTuber Nadir Ali, said that in 2019, all possibilities of him returning to India disappeared. On August 5, 2019, the Indian government abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir by deleting Article 370.

Regarding India, Zakir Naik once said, “It is not easy at all to come back to India and it is difficult to leave there. They will not roll out the red carpet for me… They will say come in and go to jail… Obviously they They will arrest me and the number one terrorist on their list is Zakir Naik.
