The National Investigation Agency registered a case against Salman in 2023 under sections of the Arms Act and Explosives Act for criminal conspiracy, membership in a terrorist organization and participation in terrorist activities. A case related to this was registered in 2023 at the Hebbal police station in Bengaluru city. At the request of the NIA, the CBI received a red corner notice from Interpol against him on August 2, 2024. Law enforcement agencies in various countries have been informed of this matter to pay close attention to the wanted Salman. Salman was subsequently located in Rwanda with the help of INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau in Kigali. On November 28, 2024, the NIA team brought the terrorist to India. Recently, the terrorist Barkat Ali Khan wanted by the CBI was traced in Saudi Arabia through Interpol channels. On November 14, 2024, he was brought back to India from Saudi Arabia by the CBI team.

Many terrorists were brought to India with the help of Interpol

He has been wanted since 2012 on charges of rioting and using explosives. The CBI received a red corner notice from Interpol against him on December 6, 2022. The CBI has also coordinated the return of Rehan Arabia Karalikar. In 2022, a case of rape and sexual assault against a minor was registered at Pattambimanakad police station in Kerala. The CBI issued a red corner notice on December 27, 2023, on the request of the Kerala Police. He was located in Saudi Arabia with the assistance of INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau in Riyadh. Subsequently, a security team from the Kerala Police left for Saudi Arabia and returned with him on November 10, 2024.
