Sreejesh became emotional after the victory

After winning the quarterfinals in hockey, Indian team goalkeeper Sreejesh said, ‘I told myself that this could be my last match. Or if I save (the goal) then I will get to play 2 more matches. I am very happy to win this match. Let us tell you that India won the match 4-2 in the shootout. This is Sreejesh’s last Olympics. He has already announced his retirement.

Apart from India, New Zealand, Argentina, Ireland, Belgium and Australia were kept in Pool-B. Whereas Pool-A includes Netherlands, Germany, Britain, Spain, South Africa and host country France. Four teams each from both the groups are going to reach the quarter finals. India has reached the quarter-finals by finishing second in Pool-B. While Belgium remained on top in Pool-B. Australia and Argentina also reached the quarter-finals from Pool-B. Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany and Spain made it to the quarter-finals from Pool-A.
