Harmanpreet scored two goals from corner kicks, while Uttam and Jamanpreet scored from the field. On the other hand, the only goal for South Korea was scored by Yang Ji-hoon (33rd minute) from a penalty kick. In the first semi-final, China defeated Pakistan 2-0 in a penalty shootout. China made it to the final for the first time.
India is undefeated this season
The Indian hockey team is yet to lose a single match in this tournament. The team, captained by Harmanpreet Singh, has won six consecutive matches to reach the final. India won all five matches in the group stage and is the only team to remain unbeaten this season.
India beat Pakistan 2-1 in the last group match. Previously, China beat South Korea 3-1. India beat Malaysia 8-1 to advance to the semifinals. Previously, India beat China 3-0 and Japan 5-0.
