India vs Bangladesh 1st Test, Day 3: The first match of the Test series between India and Bangladesh is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Rishabh Shubman and Ashwin commit suicide

When India came to bowl in the second over of the innings, off-spinner R. Ashwin Gaddar clipped. Ashwin took three wickets to bring India closer to victory. However, Bangladesh got off to a good start in chasing the target as Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan (33) partnered for 62 runs for the first wicket. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah broke the partnership by dismissing Zakir.

Then R. Ashwin gave Bangladesh the second blow by walking Shadman Islam. Shadman scored 35 before being out. Thereafter, Ashwin scored the third success for India by bowling to Mominul Haq. When Mominul (13) was dismissed, Bangladesh’s score stood at 124 for three wickets. Ashwin continued to take wickets and had Mushfiqur Rahim (13) caught by KL Rahul.

After Rahim was out, Nazmul Hussain Shanto completed his fifty. Then due to bad light, the match had to be ended about 40 minutes earlier. In this match, India scored 376 in the first innings. In reply, Bangladesh scored 149 in the first innings. This gave India a lead of 227 runs in the first innings.
