The Indian team failed to reach the finals of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024. India A was defeated by Afghanistan A in the semi-finals by 20 points. In the match at the Emirates (Oman) Cricket Stadium on October 25 (Friday), India had a target of winning 207 runs but managed to score just 186 runs for four wickets. Now Afghanistan A team will face Sri Lanka A team in the final on October 27. Sri Lanka A defeated Pakistan A by 7 wickets in the first semi-final.
During the game, the Indian team lost the ball continuously while chasing the ball. Once, he scored 100 runs for five wickets. From here, Ramandeep Singh’s hard hitting gave some hope but his innings failed to win the match for India. Ramandeep scored 64 runs in 34 balls, including eight fours and two sixes. Ayush Badoni contributed 31 points and Nishant Sindhu added 23 points. For Afghanistan-A, Allah Ghazanfar and Abdul Rehman took two wickets each.

Earlier, Afghanistan-A won the toss and batted first and scored 206 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal combined to score 137 runs for the first wicket. Atal scored 83 runs in 52 balls with the help of 7 fours and 4 sixes. Akbari, on the other hand, scored 64 runs off 41 balls in each innings. Akbari hit five fours and four sixes in the innings. Karim Janat also contributed 41 points. For India-A, Rasikh Salam Dar took the maximum three wickets.
ACC India A team played 11 matches: Prabhsimran Singh (wicketkeeper), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma (captain), Ayush Badoni, Nehal Wadhera, Ramandeep Singh, Nishant Sindhu, Anshul Kamboj, Rahul Chahar, Rasikh Salam Dar, Aaqib Khan.
