Team India (Senior Women) Tour of Australia line-up announced: The Indian cricket team is currently on tour of Australia. The five-game series between the two teams will begin in Perth on November 22. Fans are eagerly waiting for this game. At the same time, a big news came out. Team India has been announced for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee has announced the 16-member roster for the Indian team. The team will be directed by Harmanpreet Kaur while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain. Two goalkeepers Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh have joined the team.
The selectors once again failed to give a chance to 20-year-old right-handed batsman Shefali Verma. His recent ODI performances have been disappointing. Shefali only scored 108 points in 6 games this year, of which 33 points was his best score. He was dropped from the squad in December last year due to his poor performance in the home ODI series against Australia.
The ODI series will begin on December 5. After that, the second game will be played on December 8, while the final game of the series will be played on December 11. The first two ODI matches will be played at the Allan Border Stadium in Brisbane before the final game of the series will be played at the WACA Stadium in Perth as part of the ICC Women’s Championship. Recently, India defeated New Zealand 2-1 at home in the ODI series and now they are targeting to beat Australia at their home ground. However, it was not that easy for the Indian team.
