Randhir Jaiswal said: “We summoned representatives of the Canadian High Commission yesterday and handed over a diplomatic note during the meeting of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security in Ottawa on October 29, 2024. “Canada claims that federal Home Minister Amit Shah is behind a plot against Sikh separatists in Canada.
Jaiswal said: “The note states that the Government of India strongly objects to the ridiculous and unfounded reference made by Deputy Minister David Morrison to the Union Home Minister of India before the committee.” A spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs said: “Such The irresponsible behavior will have a serious impact on bilateral relations.” According to Reuters, Canada claimed that the federal home minister hatched a plot against Sikh separatists in Amit Shah’s territory.
