India and China have started withdrawing their troops from Demchok and Depsang along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh. Soldiers from both countries will completely withdraw from here on October 28th and 29th. Soldiers from both sides will return to their positions before April 2020. Patrols will be in place in the areas they patrol until April 2020. The new agreement only applies to Depsang and Demchok and not elsewhere.
Military sources said that Indian and Chinese troops will completely withdraw from Demchok and Depsang on October 28 and 29. After disengagement, a meeting of ground commanders will be held. To avoid any misunderstandings during patrols, both parties are informed when we are about to patrol.
Patrols will begin at the end of this month
Sources said that with the participation, temporary infrastructure such as sheds or tents will also be dismantled from the two locations. Both sides will be watching the area closely. During the negotiations with China, decisions were taken only for Depsang and Demchok. Indian and Chinese troops will start patrolling at their respective patrol points at the end of this month.
