Indefinite strike continues against the builder in Greater Noida, farmers announce Mahapanchayat

In Greater Noida, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Balraj) and residents of Paramount Golf Forest Society have been on an indefinite dharna against the builder since August 22. The farmers say that their dharna will continue until their demands are resolved. Along with this, the farmers have announced to hold a mahapanchayat at the dharna site on September 13.

Balraj Bhati, National President of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Balraj) said that around 2000 educated and reputed families live in Paramount Golf Forest Society. There are many irregularities on the part of the builder in the society. Also, the administrative rules of the society are being openly violated. The builder is earning crores of rupees by doing illegal construction inside the society, due to which the society residents have complained to the administration many times.

Even after this, no action was taken against the builder. Due to this, Bharatiya Kisan Union Balraj has been staging an indefinite dharna at the builder’s marketing office since August 22 in support of the society residents regarding their demands. During the indefinite dharna that has been going on for 19 consecutive days, they say that their dharna will continue until their demands are met.

Society resident RP Singh said that due to the poor security arrangements of NDS Security Company, some unpleasant incident keeps happening inside the society every day. Society residents are feeling unsafe. Many times society residents have demanded the removal of NDS Security Company, but the builder is arbitrarily ignoring the demands of the residents.

Society residents say that a hefty charge is taken from the residents in the name of maintenance and the electricity bill is being collected by fraudulently linking the electricity meter to maintenance. Also, the sewer line has been closed, due to which the society is filled with dirty water. The residents of the society are forced to live in dirty water, due to which the residents of the society are afraid of getting many types of diseases.
