The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan next year. In 2025, the Champions League will be held in Pakistan in February, with a total of 8 teams participating. The ICC Championship is about to return after eight years and Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned. This is why work on the construction of world-class cricket stadiums in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi is in full swing. The last time the Champions Trophy was held was in 2017, when Pakistan defeated India in the final to win the championship. Now Pakistan will try to win this title at home.
The biggest hurdle in hosting this tournament is that it is still unclear whether the Indian team will travel to Pakistan for this tournament or whether it will be played in another country. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board is trying its best to ensure that the match between India and Pakistan takes place in the country. This is why the Pakistani government is ready to relax visa rules and invite Indian fans here.
PCB releases major announcement
In fact, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and central government minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured fast-track visas for Indian fans who want to come to the country to watch next year’s ICC Champions Trophy matches. He gave the assurance while meeting a group of Sikh pilgrims from the United States.
Naqvi said that the PCB hopes that a large number of Indian cricket fans will travel to Pakistan to watch the Champions Trophy matches. He hoped that Indian fans would come to Pakistan and watch the match between the two countries in Lahore. A newspaper quoted Naqvi as saying that a special quota of tickets would be reserved for Indian cricket fans and appropriate steps would be taken to issue visas as soon as possible.
Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy in February-March next year but the International Cricket Council (ICC) is yet to announce its schedule as it wants to confirm whether the Indian government will allow its team to participate in the tournament. Or not?
