Bangalore’s best Test player Rachin Ravindra also performed well in Pune and looked like he could score a century, but he got stuck in the spin of Washington Sundar and scored 65 runs Then a clean throw. Lachin was bowled out for 197 runs. Thereafter, New Zealand added 4 more runs to their account with wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Blundell (3) bowling cleanly after getting 3 runs. Sundar then gave New Zealand their sixth knock by dismissing Daryl Mitchell (18) LBW.
Glen Phillips couldn’t do anything special either and he was sent to the pavilion by Sundar as well. New Zealand were at 236/7 when Phillips was dismissed.
