India vs Australia 3rd Test: In the third Test match against Australia, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. So far, Australia has scored 28 runs in 13.2 overs without conceding any runs. Australia openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney showed examples of strong defence. The first day of racing was interrupted several times by heavy rain. Due to bad weather, no play was played after the first quarter. A total of 98 overs will now be played over the final four days of the Gabba Test, with the matches starting half an hour before the scheduled time.
It might rain the next day too
The meteorological department predicts further rainfall over the next four days. There is also a chance of rain the next day. According to Accuweather, there is a 46% chance of rain on Sunday, December 15, and strong winds are possible. Otherwise, skies are likely to remain cloudy. Under such circumstances, it seemed difficult to have another game the next day.
Early lunch break due to rain
For the Australian team, Usman Khawaja has currently played 47 balls and scored 19 points, while McSweeney has played 33 balls and scored 4 points. India skipper Rohit Sharma will be happy that Australia’s opener cannot score too many runs, but both batsmen thought it would be best to leave most of the ball alone. Just when the Indian bowlers seemed to be on the attack, rain came and the bowlers’ rhythm was broken. Due to rain, the lunch break was advanced, and only 13.2 points were scored in the first game.
Usman hits the ball with better technique
For India, Jasprit Bumrah scored 8 runs in six overs while Mohammed Siraj scored 13 runs in four overs. Although the pitch started to bounce back, he didn’t take many wickets in the first over of the six-over series, with Siraj bowling mostly short deliveries. Khawaja gave him advice by hitting two fours. Even in the sixth inning, when the score was 19, the game was stopped due to drizzle. The fast bowlers were not swinging at the pitch and Bumrah could only trouble Khawaja on a few occasions. Siraj was removed after the first three overs and the ball was handed to Akash Deep, who scored two runs in 3.2 overs. Everyone’s eyes were on how Khawaja bowled Bumrah’s ball. He uses good technique and keeps the bat close to his body. He only hits the balls that are thrown to him.
