IND vs AUS: Pat Cummins gives special advice to his batsmen, says no need to bat like Warner

IND and OFF: There will be a five-match Test series between India and Australia. Team India seems to be going strong for this series. High expectations are also placed on the Australian team this time. Australia last won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2014. Since then, he has been looking for trophies. This time around, expectations are weighing heavily on Australia’s new opening batsman Nathan McSweeney. He will replace Warner.

McSweeney to replace Warner

Nathan McSweeney will make his debut for Australia. Meanwhile, the Australian captain made a big statement about him. This will greatly reduce their stress. On Nathan McSweeney, Pat Cummins on Thursday said he does not need to play like former opener David Warner but should display his natural playing ability. David Warner had been opening the batting against India but after retiring, the responsibility now falls on McSweeney.

what did cummins say

Cummins said in his pre-match press conference that it would be very difficult to replace David Warner. Nathan needs to show his game. There’s no need to score at 80 like David did because that’s not his game. He said we were expecting good starts from McSweeney and Khawaja. Both played together for Queensland. Usman forces bowlers to bowl long spells and Nathan is a similar batsman. McSweeney was named in the squad ahead of Marcus Harris after an impressive performance for Australia A against India A earlier this month.
