Jay Shah in Australia: The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan next year. The Indian Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Board have reached an agreement on a hybrid format for the tournament, but no official announcement has been made yet. In this case, speculation about the future of the event has also intensified. At the same time, major news related to the new president of the International Chamber of Commerce was also revealed.
Jay Shah, who took over as International Cricket Federation president earlier this month, has arrived in Australia, where India and the hosts are playing a Border-Gavaskar Trophy match. On December 12, Jay Shah met with senior officials from the Brisbane 2032 Organizing Committee in Australia to discuss the possibility of including cricket in the Summer Olympics. Cricket will return to the Olympics after 128 years and form part of the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Whether cricket will be included in Brisbane’s fixture list in 2032 has yet to be determined.
Jai Shah shared a picture.
Jay Shah posted the video on Hui. Brisbane 2032 Organizing Committee Chair Cindy Hook and Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley were in attendance. One of Jay Shah’s immediate priorities is to find a solution to host the Champions Trophy in February-March. All stakeholders agree on the hybrid model, but no announcements have been made yet.
