IND and OFF: The first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is being played in Perth between India and Australia. Today is the fourth day of exams in Perth. Team India is expected to win the match on day four, November 25, and take a 1-0 lead in the series. As India is slowly inching towards victory against Australia in the first Test, captain Rohit Sharma has also entered the Indian dressing room.
In fact, India captain Rohit Sharma did not play in the first Test match. He did not come to Australia with the Indian team due to becoming a father. Rohit arrived in Australia during the Perth Test. Just a day later, he was seen sitting in the Indian team’s dressing room admiring the Indian bowling and his picture is now going viral on social media.
Captain enters Australia
India captain Rohit Sharma left for Perth for training immediately upon his arrival. Rohit arrived in Perth on Sunday evening after taking paternity leave for the birth of his son. The Indian team will travel to Canberra on Wednesday for a two-day practice session starting November 30. This practice session does not have first-class status. However, this match will be important as it is a pink-ball day-night game which will be very important in preparation for the second Test starting in Adelaide on December 6.
