India vs Australia 3rd Test: The five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test match is ongoing between India and Australia. The third game of the series will be played at the Gabba. The Australian team feels strong. Australia’s star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood was injured and pulled out of the match. On the fourth day of the game, he threw just one pitch and then suffered calf pain.
Josh Hazlewood injured
Josh Hazlewood had a lengthy chat with Pat Cummins, Steve Smith and physio Nick Jones before leaving the pitch. They will now be scanned. After his withdrawal, Australia had to bowl to Mitchell Marsh. This way Mitchell Starc and Cummins don’t have to bowl for long periods of time. Hazlewood has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his career.
Also eliminated in the second test
Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the second Test with a side strain. Scott Bolan then got his chance to earn a spot in the team. Then he came back for a third Test. In this match, he bowled only 6 balls and scored 22 runs for one wicket. How serious his injuries are now will only be known after scans. If he is unable to play the fourth Test, then Bolan can be named in the XI again.
Played all three formats for Australia
Josh Hazlewood, 33, has represented Australia in all three formats of cricket. He took 278 wickets in 71 Test matches, 138 wickets in 91 ODIs and 67 wickets in 52 T20 Internationals. In 2014, he made his Test debut for Australia. Since then, he has been an important cog in the team’s bowling attack.
