The Indian cricket team is currently on tour in Australia. Currently, Ranji Trophy, the largest cricket tournament in the country, is being held in India. Many major records are being set. Meanwhile, a star young player took all 10 wickets in a single innings in the match. This player is none other than Anshul Kamboj. Anshul Kamboj created history while playing for Haryana. Lahiri took all 10 wickets in an innings against Kerala in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match. He is not the first bowler to do so in the Ranji Trophy. Before him, two other bowlers had done the same. Anil Kumble has also done this in international cricket for India. In the Test match against Pakistan, he took all 10 wickets.
This happened 38 years later
The last time the team achieved the feat of taking all 10 wickets in a single innings in the Ranji Trophy was in the 1985-86 season. This phenomenon first appeared in the 1956-57 season. Premangasu Mohan Chatterjee and Pradeep Sundaram achieved this in Ranji. Premangasu Mohan Chatterjee did it in 1956-57 and Pradeep Sundaram did it in 1985-86. Chatterjee achieved this feat for the first time while playing for Bengal. Apart from that, Pradeep Sundaram did it for Rajasthan 38 years ago.
Kamberg’s special miracle
Talking about Anshul Kamboj, Kamboj created history for Haryana. His tenth victim of the inning was Sean Roger. Kapil Hooda’s brilliant catch helped him take this wicket. This kind of dominance from a bowler is rare in Ranji. Such an achievement is certainly very special for a modern cricketer. With this, Kamboy has taken 50 wickets in 19 first-class matches. He recently represented India A in the ACC Emerging Asia Cup held in Oman. Kamboj is having a great red ball season this year. Against Kerala, he conceded just 49 runs in 30.1 overs.
