A surprising case has taken place in Idukki, Kerala. The excise official was surprised when a group of students unexpectedly came to his office and started asking for matchsticks to light their marijuana-wrapped bidis. The incident took place on Monday in Admari, where students of Thrissur school were on a trip with their teachers.
Officers were caught red-handed
It is understood that the student entered the tax bureau by mistake. When he asked for matchsticks from officials, excise officials caught him red-handed and confiscated cannabis, cannabis oil and items used for filling prohibited substances from his possession. A case was also registered against two minor students who were found in possession of the banned substances.

According to sources, the students came out after dinner at a hotel to smoke marijuana and bidis and asked for matches to light them. A senior tax official said, “They saw the back of the tax office and reached there. When they suddenly saw the officials, they sensed danger and ran out. But everyone was caught. When we investigated At that time, prohibited substances were discovered.”
A case has been registered against two students after cannabis and other substances were seized under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
All students are advised
Other students were sent back along with their teachers, the official said. But in the case of these two students, their parents were called and they were sent. According to officials, substance abuse during school and college visits is widespread in the state.
