Apart from this, orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, and Palakkad districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and strong winds at a speed of 50 km per hour in Malappuram, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, Idukki, Ernakulam, Wayanad, Kannur, Palakkad and Thrissur districts of Kerala. Due to heavy rains in these districts of Kerala, flood and waterlogging may occur. At the same time, landslides may also occur at some places. Therefore, instructions have been given to take extra precautions in these districts.

Let us tell you that it is raining heavily in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram these days, due to which many areas have become waterlogged. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Thiruvananthapuram till August 3. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Thiruvananthapuram is likely to be around 29 to 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 24 to 25 degrees Celsius this entire week.

A landslide has occurred in Wayanad, Kerala amid heavy rains. More than 116 people are trapped in this. A massive rescue operation is being conducted to save people. According to the information given by the Chief Minister, 93 people have died so far. Some children are also included in the dead. Along with the army, the navy has also been deployed for the rescue operation. PM Modi has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to the families of those who lost their lives due to landslides in Wayanad. Apart from this, it has been announced to give Rs 50 thousand to the injured.
