IMA delegation meets with the Minister of Health and will set up a working group to ensure the safety of doctors

A delegation from the Indian Medical Association met the Jharkhand health minister on Wednesday. An important meeting was held with the delegation in the presence of Health Minister Banna Gupta, Chief Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, NHM MD Abu Imran and Director RIMS. The meeting had active discussions on doctor safety and other issues. The issues for reaching agreement are as follows:-

1) Under the Clinical Establishments Act, it is agreed to open hospitals with up to 50 beds in Uttar Pradesh free of charge. The Health Minister and Chief Secretary have decided to issue this related order as soon as possible.

2) In line with the Supreme Court order, it was agreed to include representatives of the Indian Medical Association and the Junior Doctors Association in the formation of the national task force.

3) Health Minister announces consideration of separate allotment of TA/DA to doctors represented by Shravani Mela.

4) It was agreed that whatever committee is formed at the state/district/district level, as before, representatives of the IMA will also be members.

5) Agree to make necessary decisions regarding the safety of female doctors.

IMA Jharkhand team and personnel from various medical organizations should be present at this meeting.

Dr. Pradeep, State Secretary, IMA, believes this is historic for the medical community. He said that regarding the much-awaited healthcare-related needs, a consensus was reached among the Health Minister, Chief Secretary NRHM, IMA Director and Clinical Establishment Act members in UP. The key personnel present at this meeting were Dr. Ajay Singh, Dr. RS Das, Dr. Pradeep Singh, Dr. Vimlesh, Dr. Shambhu Prasad, Dr. Mrityunjay, Dr. Saurabh Chaudhary and Dr. Sthan.
