Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra
Priyanka Gandhi, contesting elections for the first time, filed her nomination from Wayanad seat on Wednesday, October 23. In response, her husband, businessman Robert Vadra, said, I am glad that Priyanka is now starting to think about herself. She will work hard for herself and campaign for herself. I think I’ve known him for 35 years. I always saw him working hard for others, for his family, and for the people of his country.
He further said that Priyanka never considered herself but I am happy that Congress is considering contesting her from Wayanad. I think if Rajiv Ji was still alive, he would be very happy. Personally, I have always wanted Priyanka to be in Parliament and not just contest. I am among the people, serving on the ground through my philanthropy. If people felt that I should be active in politics and enter Parliament, then I would have taken that step, but now I am happy that I am among the people.
What are your thoughts on the campaign?
He further spoke about the campaign and said Moradabad is my birthplace. The people of Uttar Pradesh definitely want me to contest the elections from there. and represent them. Everywhere I go, people say I should stay in politics, but when the time comes, no matter what Congress wants, no matter what my family orders. I will strengthen my determination.
