The goon named Rahul Chaturvedi was arrested by the Bislah police station in Greater Noida yesterday. According to police, Rahul has trapped more than 20 women/girls in his net so far. During this period, he also extorted lakhs of rupees from the victims.
In this case, DCP Central (Noida) Shakti Awasthi said Rahul Chaturvedi used to create premium accounts on matrimonial websites so that his profile looked authentic and people trusted him. After meeting women/girls, he used to produce fake pay slips and other fake documents and cheat them by promising them marriage. His targets were primarily financially well-off women.
According to the DCP, Rahul used to talk not only to women but also to their family members and socialize with them so that he would not arouse anyone’s suspicion. Not only that, in order to deceive, he often changed his voice and talked to women like his father. Through these tricks, he often wins the other person’s trust and then easily cheats on them.
