‘British citizens should leave immediately’
Meanwhile, the British government has also instructed all British citizens present in Lebanon to leave immediately. British Foreign Minister David Lammy said in a statement, ‘Tensions are very high and the situation could deteriorate rapidly.’ According to news agency AFP, he said, ‘My clear message to British citizens is – leave immediately.’ Apart from America and Britain, many other countries have also issued advisories to their citizens asking them to leave Lebanon as soon as possible.
Indian Embassy also issued advisory
Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Lebanon’s capital Beirut had asked Indian citizens to leave the country. Apart from India, many other countries have also advised their citizens not to travel to Lebanon. It has also asked its citizens to leave Lebanon.
