Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is back in his old form these days. He has become vocal about Hindutva like in his old days. Perhaps this form of Yogi helped in making him a poster boy in BJP. But after becoming the Chief Minister, he adopted Rajdharma. But the crushing defeat in Uttar Pradesh and the voices raised against him in the party have perhaps inspired him to return to his old form. Looking at some of his decisions and statements in the recent past, it seems that Yogi is again moving towards aggressive Hindutva. The atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh have perhaps distressed him or he is considering it important to mobilize Hindus politically. Whatever it may be, whenever he spoke about Bangladesh this fortnight, he became the center of discussion.

While unveiling the statue of Veer Durgadas Rathore in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath again said something that was bound to create controversy. By making a statement like ‘If we divide, we will be cut’, he gave another chance to his opponents. But Yogi knows that the more former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi speak against him, the stronger he will become in UP. But if the matter had ended here, it would have been a different matter. Actually, now he is a big leader of BJP, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Now whatever he says is taken into consideration by the whole country and the neighboring countries as well.

1-Yogi’s new face

Yogi said in Agra on Monday that nothing can be greater than the nation. The nation will remain strong only when we remain united and noble. If we are divided, we will be cut. CM Yogi said that mistakes like Bangladesh should not happen here. If we remain united, we will remain noble and safe. The Chief Minister called Mughal emperor Aurangzeb a rogue and said that he was also related to this Agra. He said that in this Agra, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had challenged Aurangzeb’s power and told him that you will keep on suffering like a rat, but we will not let you capture India.

In fact, Yogi Adityanath showed such gestures on at least 4 occasions in the past, in which his old attitude can be seen. At the end of July, the state government introduced a bill to amend the anti-conversion law, making the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act, 2021 more stringent. Passing an order to roadside vendors and shopkeepers on the Kavad Yatra route to display their names outside their establishments was also considered in the same sequence, which was considered against Muslims. Last week also, Yogi accused the opposition of keeping silent about the Bangladesh crisis and the situation of Hindus in neighboring countries due to vote-bank politics. Yogi said that, it is our duty to protect the Hindus of Bangladesh and support them in times of crisis and we will always stand with them. Whatever the circumstances, our values remain steadfast. Being a Hindu in Bangladesh is not a mistake but a blessing. Even in the Ayodhya rape case, when a Muslim was accused, the Chief Minister himself took the charge against him. It is clear that now he is vocal about Hindutva.

2-Will Mission Kashmir become an obstacle in its path?

The Bharatiya Janata Party is not in a position to tolerate any defeat at this time. No matter what sacrifice it has to make for this. The party is also trying its best to win Jammu and Kashmir. The Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to field a total of 15 Muslim candidates to win the Kashmir valley. In the list of 15 candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections released on Monday, there are names of about 7 Muslim candidates. It is clear that to win Kashmir, the party will have to become a little humble about Hindutva. Actually, if the BJP has to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir, then it will have to win at least 46 seats. Jammu has 43 seats while Kashmir has 47 seats. About 31 seats in Jammu are Hindu-dominated. It simply means that for the majority, the BJP will have to win some Muslim-dominated seats as well. If no one gets a majority in the assembly, then to get the support of any other party, the BJP will have to create an image that is different from the party with hardline Hindutva.

3-Bangladesh will affect relations

India Bangladesh relations are at a very delicate juncture. It cannot be denied that the speeches of leaders like Yogi Adityanath will have a negative impact. Whatever Yogi Adityanath says will be twisted and shown in Bangladesh. The anti-India lobby is badly behind all this. Even the floods in Bangladesh have been blamed on India. Due to which even the Indian government has had to give clarification. The common people of Bangladesh feel that India was reaping the benefits by instigating Sheikh Hasina. In Bangladesh, the events happening in India are twisted in such a way that a moral basis for attacking Hindus can be prepared there. The way the opposition in India is criticizing Yogi’s statement, this will also give Bangladesh an opportunity to spit fire against India. Akhilesh Yadav says that he wants to become the Prime Minister, he should at least not play the role of PM. It is the job of the Prime Minister to decide how to maintain relations with whom in the world. I hope that the people of Delhi will explain to him not to interfere in the decisions of Delhi. Asaduddin Owaisi said that ‘he talks about unity. How will there be unity among us? Even today, under their rule, injustice takes place in UP, encounters take place, bulldozers take place. How are we responsible for what is happening in Bangladesh?

4- How important is it for UP by-elections

Political analyst Saurabh Dubey says that in fact, to deal with the atmosphere that was being created against Yogi Adityanath in the party in the recent past, Yogi Adityanath has been forced to return to his old form of hard core Hindutva. Along with this, assembly by-elections are to be held on 10 seats in UP in the next few days. Yogi believes that if he does wonders in the by-elections, then his credibility in the party will once again be the same as before. The Bharatiya Janata Party also more or less understands the same. It knows that apart from polarization of Hindus, nothing else guarantees victory in Uttar Pradesh. The issue of development does not work here. Casteism becomes paramount. The way the Samajwadi Party has united the backward and the Dalits, if we have to deal with it, then we will have to follow the path of hard core Hindutva.
