Measures by which accidents can be avoided in Delhi

Jagdish Mamgai suggested that a nodal agency can also be created, which can identify dangerous buildings and violating buildings ahead of time. He said that along with depositing house tax or property tax, an affidavit should be taken from the user or occupier of the building, in which he will state that no violation is being committed as per the building bylaws.

Experts say that not only during the monsoon season, drains should be cleaned after every rain, so that no matter how much rain it rains, silt does not accumulate there. Arrangements for water drainage should be made by identifying the catchment area of every area, like the area of Rajendra Nagar located at high altitude is situated on a hill and during rains the water comes to the lower areas. There should be a provision for drainage of water from the basement and its commercial use should be allowed.

Delhi Commissioner suggested these measures

Delhi Commissioner Ashwini Kumar said that this is a very unfortunate incident. We have worked on some things so that water does not enter and cleaning is done. We worked on that, it is a systemic thing. He told that action has been taken against illegal basements. He said that a survey will be conducted in this regard and action will be taken by identifying illegal basements.
