Akshay Shinde, accused of exploiting innocent girls at a school in Bhadrapur, Maharashtra, died in a police encounter. Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh raised questions about the encounter, saying it was impossible for a handcuffed man to fire.

Deshmukh said, “How could Akshay Shinde open fire when his hands were tied? This school belongs to the BJP leaders. Efforts were being made to suppress the incident from the beginning. Aditya Thackeray asked: “Will cases registered against protesting citizens be withdrawn? They are being treated like thugs. They are only protesting against police refusal to register victims’ complaints and are staying.”

Aditya raised questions with the police and said, “Who was saved by the police? It is believed that the school directors were linked to the BJP and they were saved. Is this true? Will the government respond?”
