Akshay Shinde, accused of exploiting innocent girls at a school in Bhadrapur, Maharashtra, died in a police encounter. The incident took place when a police team was taking Akshay from Taloja jail, police said. The political situation in Maharashtra has become heated following the incident, with opposition leaders raising questions about the encounter. A round of accusations and counter-allegations has begun between the ruling grand alliance government and the opposition in what is described as a tactic to destroy evidence as the school where the incident took place is owned by the BJP leader.
Police said that after the incident, the accused was taken into a car, where he snatched the pistol of Assistant Inspector Nish More and fired at the escorting police team, injuring three policemen. Shinde was killed in a police retaliatory shooting. It is learned that the SIT team has reached the incident location.
“This matter is over”
Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh raised questions about the encounter, saying it was impossible for a handcuffed man to fire.
Deshmukh said, “How could Akshay Shinde open fire when his hands were tied? This school belongs to the BJP leaders. Efforts were being made to suppress the incident from the beginning. After the incident , the matter has been closed and the matter should be investigated by a retired judge of the High Court.
“I’m not sure about Maharashtra Police…”
NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule said the incident was a “complete failure of the law enforcement and judicial system” in Maharashtra, while Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan called it “a total failure of the Maharashtra Police “Black Day”.
Prithviraj Chavan said: “The accused was brutally killed. No one will believe that this was an encounter. I have asked the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court who was in Mumbai at that time to conduct an inquiry. I am not sure at the moment Is that the case? “Under the government, the Maharashtra Police will never be able to identify the real perpetrators of this crime. “

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray raised questions about the encounter through a social media post. He said: “Where are the trustees of the Bhadrapur school? Why are they being protected by the BJP-Mid government? What about Vaman Mhatre? She asked a reporter why she Asking questions about this incident like why did she do this? “Could she have been saved if she had been raped?”
Aditya Thackeray asked: “Will cases registered against protesting citizens be withdrawn? They are being treated like thugs. They are only protesting against police refusal to register victims’ complaints and are staying.”
Aditya raised questions with the police and said, “Who was saved by the police? It is believed that the school directors were linked to the BJP and they were saved. Is this true? Will the government respond?”
