If not Eknath Shinde, then who?
In Maharashtra, the names of chief minister and deputy chief minister have been agreed upon, but the deputy chief minister’s name is still pending. Eknath Shinde is said not to want to become deputy prime minister. Shinde wants the post of deputy chief minister to be given to someone else in his place.
Sanjay Shirsat of the Shiv Sena faction said that only Eknath Shinde can finally announce who will be the deputy CM of the Shiv Sena quota. Shinde is likely to make the announcement on Friday evening. However, now he has gone to his village Satara.

There are rumors that Devendra Fadnavis will become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from the BJP quota. Mahayutti also made a decision in this regard. Its formal announcement will be made after the legislative party meeting. Devendra Fadnavis served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 2014 to 2019.
What is certain is that Ajit Pawar will be the deputy prime minister from the NCP quota. Ajit had also served as deputy chief minister before. Ajit also holds the record of serving as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra for the longest period. Ajit served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra for about 8 years.
Why does Sindh not want to be deputy CM?
Former chief minister becoming a minister or deputy chief minister is nothing new in Maharashtra politics. Even before that, leaders like Ashok Chavan and Devendra Fadnavis had done so. In this context, the question arises: Why does former chief minister Eknath Shinde not want to become deputy chief minister?
When Eknath Shinde withdrew his candidacy for the chief minister’s post, he mentioned the work he had done. Shinde once said, I took Maharashtra from third place to first place.
He also mentioned Ladki Bahin Yojana. The scheme was popular in the Maharashtra elections. In this case, Shinde is said to have not wanted to lose the credibility of his job by serving as deputy.
If Shinde becomes Deputy Prime Minister, he will be re-evaluated, which may be positive or negative.
The Shiv Sena in Shinde has also approached the home ministry. The Sindhi faction said he was in charge of the home ministry when Devendra Fadnavis was his deputy. In this case, this is also seen as pressure politics.
Big question – if not Shinde, who will be the deputy?
If not faith, then who is the question? According to Sanjay Shirsat of Shiv Sena (Shinde), only Eknath Shinde can decide who will get the command of deputy in the government. The first name discussed was that of his son Shrikant Shinde.
Srikanth is currently a member of the Lok Sabha and it is being said that if Eknath Shinde himself does not become deputy chief minister, then he can bring his son into politics by making him deputy chief minister.
Another reason that gave Srikanth a foothold in politics was the rise of Aditya Thackeray. Aditya Thackeray has been appointed as the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT) legislative body.
The name of Jalgaon Rural MLA Gulabrao Patil is also being discussed. Posters of the possible deputy prime minister were also put up in Patil’s district. Meanwhile, the names of Uday Samant and Dada Bhuse are also being discussed in political circles.
Deepak Kesarkar and Bharat Gogwale played an important role on behalf of Eknath Shinde during the Shiv Sena rebellion. If Shinde himself does not become a representative, he can express confidence in either of the two men.
