“If need be…” Maulana Khalid Saifura said while protesting against the Waqf Bill.

Chairman of the Muslim Personal Law Board Maulana Khalid Saifullah made an important statement on the Waqf Bill. He said he would stop the bill at all costs. This is a matter of life and death for us. If necessary, he said, the country’s Muslims would fill the country’s prisons so much that the government would have no room to retain employees.

Maulana Khalid Saifullah, chairman of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, was in Kanpur for a program and after Friday prayers he spoke to people at a large madrassa in the city. He opposed the waqf amendment bill proposed by the government.

“We are even willing to give up our own lives if necessary”

Khaled Saifullah said this is a matter of life and death for us and we should stop it at all costs. If necessary, the country’s Muslims will fill the prisons so much that there will be no room to hold them. We will not take anyone’s life, but we will not shy away from sacrificing our own if necessary.

‘This is a very dangerous law’

He said: “We, the Supreme Court counsel of the All India Muslim Personal Law Commission, told us that non-Muslims have a seat in the Central Waqf Board. Will they sympathize with your mosques and cemeteries if they are run by non-Muslims? What will come out of this The result? Your waqf land will be taken away.

Khalid Saifullah said: “This is a very dangerous law. Its only purpose is to take waqf land from Muslims. I am not talking about temples in the entire country, only 478,000 acres of temple land in Tamil Nadu and 468,000 acres of temple land in Andhra Pradesh are in these two states alone. If these two states are added together, then 1 million acres of land belongs to only two states.

“Will the collector take a decision that is not favorable to the government?”

He said if Muslims own 600,000 acres of waqf land across the country, then what kind of injustice is this? Saifullah said after the act is implemented, the tax collector will hear and decide the matter and if he says the land does not belong to your religious institution, then it will be taken away from you. Just think, when this matter comes into the hands of the tax collector, will the tax collector take a decision against the government between the waqf and the government because the tax collector belongs only to the government.
