Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said regarding the Canadian temple attack that recent events in Canada are very condemnable. Punjabis are particularly attached to Canada and consider it their second home, with Punjabis also living in Surrey and Toronto. CM Mann further said that no one wants such violence to happen.

CM Bhagwant Mann condemned the attack and asked the government to take action. He said, I request the Indian government to dialogue with the Canadian government no matter what actions it takes to avoid similar incidents from happening again in the future. He also said that people (Punjabis) who believe that “Sarbat Da Bhala” is for the benefit of all people live all over the world. They are peace-loving people who have made their way through hard work. I ask the Modi government to talk to the Canadian government.

A large crowd gathered Monday night to express solidarity with the temple and the community following the attack on the Canadian temple. Many Indian leaders also condemned the incident. The country’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also condemned the incident, calling it unacceptable. He also said that in Canada, everyone can practice their religion freely and safely.
