Minister Chaudhary, while presenting his point, said that if a candidate does not knock on someone’s door two-three times, then he is considered bad, whereas if the same candidate belongs to Bhumihar caste and has never done this work, then he is considered good.
He made this comment in the context of JDU’s extremely backward candidate not getting support from the Bhumihar community in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that Nitish Kumar built roads in the villages of Bhumihars, but when a candidate from the extremely backward class was given the ticket, the Bhumihars withdrew their support.
The minister in his statement also indicated that leaders of the Bhumihar community may face the risk of not getting tickets in the assembly elections, which has further heated up the political atmosphere.
