‘I can’t sell death by talking about health’, John Abraham said on Pan Masala endorsements

Actor John Abraham is currently busy in the promotions of the film ‘Veda’. Recently the actor appeared on The Ranveer Show podcast. Here John talked openly about his personal and professional life. John told that he prefers to talk to common people in the same way as he is in real life. He does not keep two images within himself.

John’s statement
John told that he is not at all like other actors who talk about a healthy lifestyle, but eat a lot of unhealthy food in real life. They do tobacco ads and also earn money by endorsing such brands. John said- If I live my life truthfully then perhaps I will be able to become a role model for some people. But if I show my fake personality in public and behave differently behind the scenes, then everyone will come to know. So why have to live two types of images? Be whatever you are.

John also talked about those stars who promote healthy living on many platforms, but add pan masala. Not only this, I also have a problem with mouth fresheners. John said- I have not associated myself with any such brands which support pan masala and then mouth fresheners. People talk about fitness. But the same people sell pan masala. Endorse them.

“I love all my actor friends and I am not insulting anyone. I want to say here that I do not support such things. I cannot sell death because it is against the principle of Do you know that the annual turnover of the tobacco company is Rs 45 thousand crores? This means that the government is also supporting it, so it is not illegal to sell tobacco in the country.

“I am unable to understand that actors say that they are selling ‘cardamom’ and not tobacco. You are selling death. And how can you live by saying this?” Let us tell you that Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan used to endorse Pan Masala earlier. Ajay still continues his contract with the mouth freshener company, but Ajay Devgan distanced himself from this company last year.
