On Friday, when PM Modi reached Palghar in Maharashtra, he mentioned this incident in the middle of his speech and bowing his head with folded hands from the stage, said, ‘I bow my head and apologize for the fall of Shivaji’s statue.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Maharashtra on Friday. During this, he participated in a program in Palghar. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal greeted him. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Rs 76,000 crore Vadhavan port here. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 218 fisheries projects worth about Rs 1,560 crore. Earlier, he also addressed the Global Fintech Fest 2024 in Mumbai. During his address, he expressed regret over the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue in the past days and said, ‘I bow my head and apologize for the collapse of Shivaji’s statue.’
